Common mistakes
- Attempting a plot that needs 3000 words in a 45-minute answer.
- Piling on adjectives instead of choosing precise nouns and verbs.
- Spending forty minutes on the opening paragraph and rushing the rest.
- Ignoring paragraphing, which is directly assessed under AO5.
